With so many incredible places to see in the world, your travel bucket list is no doubt growing longer by the day. But how do you know where to book your next flight to? And when?
Because we believe in helping others see the world on any budget, we sought out to answer your questions about cheap places to travel around the world. To accomplish this, we did what we do best: analyze flight data. We dug deep into the numbers to compare and analyze 5 years’ worth of data – over 1 billion flight segments – for some of the world’s most popular travel destinations.
As a result, we’ve compiled a list of the top 20 trending destinations of 2020, as well as the best times to find cheap tickets, and created the ultimate list of cheap places to travel around the world.
But scoring a great deal on plane tickets is only the first part of saving money on a trip. So we’ve also used Numbeo, the world’s largest database of user-contributed data about cities and countries, to include the average prices for a meal at a local restaurant, a cappuccino, a domestic beer, and a ride on public transportation.

But our data shows that good things may just come to those who wait, with August-December bringing lower prices.
